the dance with the truth

the word's yard is wide
and the wedding big
spread further
than the lord's
grace

like water
in a deluge
seeps into every crack
so that even the stones cry out
painted verses
in krugersdorp
that no one may be lost
without knowing
of god's good
that can
doom you
to hell

and it's right
that you feel bad
you who want to correct
what people believe
because who is the real arsehole
satan and his dubious existence
or you who
in her old age
leads grandma to doubt
