have a deadline too

every day
has had its yesterday

if you search for the beginning
you walk into infinity

what are we
but plants
once removed
in a hell of a garden

that

live
and
die

will the gardener grieve
when he loses a plant
why mourn it
rather rejoice
a dead plant is food
after all
compost for

eternal life
born new
every day
from eternal death

the cost involved
the entrance fee
to existence
simply is
presence

and it is good
